Forums, social media platforms, gaming platforms, you name it and I’ve most likely been a member on a number of groups all related to airsoft and the British army, including its mythical special forces. Sometime within the teenage years the world of slinging plastic bbs on my friends collided with the amazing stories of UK forces embroiled in the global war on terror. The Task Force Black imagery of mixed camo uniforms, Paraclete armour wearing and L119A1 armed shock troops struck a cord in my young gear nerd’s heart.
In the old times, there were message boards and forums. It was a great time for information sharing and searching. Topics could be filled with extra long posts detailing the most obscure details on an airsoft replica. It all vanished with the advent of Facebooks, Instagram and now Discord. Great places to chat and discuss, much less to really share knowledge in a convenient way. Plus, both Meta and X networks are prone to censorship, unless you’re showing skin or want to grift old people.

Feeling constrained by all this, I wanted my own place where I could rant as much as I’d like and store the little bits of knowledge I could gather here and there. After a lot of procrastinating, I’ve finally jumped the shark and opened the Kit Chat Blog. As the name implies, you’ll be here for military kits.
My priority is to both share and store informations in a way that could be helpful for fellow reenactors and nerds alike. Everything is sorted within the following six categories and a special page dedicated to scrolling and searching the content of the blog. I’ve gathered quite a few of my past ramblings so as to launch on a base offering. Links to all of these are provided below in each category.
Again a warm welcome and hoping you’ll find this content both entertaining and interesting.

Books
There’s no other way to put it, I read a lot. I figured I might as well share about the various lectures that accompany me when travelling or trying to fall sleep at night.
Explore
So here’s something special. This page if entirely dedicated to the content of the blog. It lists both all the posts and all the tags used. These are strictly defined as a mean for you to search for specific items and are mostly geared toward exploring the In The Wild articles :
- – Books are listed under either the “Book” tag or the author’s name.
- – Cloning guides fall under “Clone” and “Cloning Guides” tags.
- – Reenactment content all falls under “Reenactment”.
- – My personnal cloning projects are all tagged as “Clone” and “Projectnameoftherifle”.
- – All other tags (years, manufacturers, regiments, units, accessories, rifles, places etc) refer only to the real deal. This is to offer you a quick way of checking out if something specific has been used (by whom, which year, where, etc). These are purely dedicated to In The Wild posts.
