In the wild photos have to be the hallmark of a good serendipitous activity. Take today posts for example. While browsing for older photos of L115A3 rifles to determine when the new stocksides started to be issued, I stumbled upon a real one off : a Badger Ordnance IMUNS.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The L115A3 is commonly issued with a STIC bracket (right), giving it part of that iconic look thanks to it angled shape. The Integrated Mount Universal Night Sight (IMUNS) from Badger Ordnance (left) is more of a classic in-line attachment ready rail.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The photos were supposedly taken at Sandhurst and were posted on social media in 2013. Considering the noticeably new Accuracy International legacy stocksides only came out in 2012 (at least per appearance on the Internet), this could be one of the first L115A3 to sport these.<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

It could be a trial rifle of some sort considering the Army has been thinking about either upgrading the L115A3 fleet or replacing it all together with the UKSF issued L115A4.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Badger Ordnance IMUNS is more famous for being part of the accessories used on the US MK13 Mod 5 sniper rifles.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n
